The Internet Commerce Association (ICA) was honored to host the second annual Levine Lecture on July 21, 2025. This year’s lecture featured renowned intellectual property attorney David H. Bernstein, who delivered a compelling presentation titled “Trademark Infringement and Other Close Cases – Adjudicating UDRP Disputes in the Face of Hotly Disputed Facts.”

Introductions were offered by Zak Muscovitch, ICA General Counsel, and Brian Beckham of WIPO. The lecture concluded with thoughtful closing remarks by Gerald Levine, whom the series honors and for whom it is named.

The Levine Lecture series was established to recognize and celebrate Gerry Levine’s invaluable scholarly contributions to the field of domain name dispute resolution, particularly through his work on the UDRP.

This annual event brings together leaders in the field to explore complex issues surrounding the UDRP and domain name policy. David Bernstein’s lecture offered an in-depth examination of the challenges of resolving domain name disputes involving difficult factual scenarios—insights that were deeply appreciated by the ICA community and broader domain name industry.
