Name: Andee Hill
How did you get involved in the domain industry?
I was one of Escrow.com’s original employees.
What is your current role?
Director of Business Development at Donuts Inc.
Why did you choose to support the ICA?
In 2012, Escrow.com was approached and after a brief explanation of the goals and accomplishments of the organization, it was clear we needed to be a member. I continued to have a supportive roll through EscrowHill.com and now with Donuts.Domains.
Can you share a prediction about the future of the domain industry?
I think the domain industry still has a lot of maturing to do. There are still so many opportunities as I believe that mainstream media under-utilizes domain names.
What do you like most about the domain industry?
The opportunity. We are such a small industry when you realize that most successful businesses in this world require a domain name.
If you could change one thing about the domain industry what would it be?
More exposure. I feel the more people involved in investing/trading domains, the more opportunity we all have.
What do you wish other people knew about the ICA?
That the ICA is really the only organization with the sole aim of protecting domain owners rights.
What would you tell someone who is thinking about joining the ICA?
Talk to other members. Find out why we are part of the organization.
What unexpected doors opened for you because of your involvement in the domain industry?
I have some of the most interesting and genuine friends from this industry.
What’s the best advice ever received (domain related or otherwise)?
Try something new, if it sucks, try something else.
What are your main interests outside of the domain industry?
Being active and spending time with my friends and family.
